My Milos Wedding is a boutique wedding planning agency based on the island of Milos, Greece. We specialise in proposals, elopements, and weddings for international couples. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to My Milos Wedding.

What information we collect

We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it to us — primarily through our contact and enquiry form. This may include:

  • Your phone number (if provided)
  • Your celebration type, preferred date, and any other details you include in your message

We also collect limited technical data automatically when you browse the site, as described in Cookies and advertising below.

How we use your information

We use the information you submit solely to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and discuss your celebration plans
  • Provide our wedding planning services if you choose to work with us
  • Contact you with information directly relevant to your celebration

We will never use your information for unsolicited marketing, nor will we share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Consent — by submitting our contact form, you consent to us using your information to respond to your enquiry. Advertising cookies are set only with your consent via our cookie banner.
  • Legitimate interests — to manage and fulfil the services you have engaged us for.
  • Contractual necessity — where a service agreement exists between us.

How we store and protect your data

Enquiry submissions are sent via secure email (Postmark SMTP) and stored in our email inbox. We do not operate a CRM database. Your information is accessible only to the My Milos Wedding team and is not stored on publicly accessible servers.

We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfil your celebration or respond to your enquiry, and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping purposes. You may request deletion at any time.

Cookies and advertising

We advertise through Google Ads and use the Google tag on this website to measure how our ads perform, for example whether a visit from an ad leads to an enquiry. If you accept cookies, Google may set advertising cookies (such as _gcl_au) and use your data for ad measurement and personalisation, in line with Google's Privacy Policy. Google may transfer this data outside the EEA under its own safeguards.

When you first visit, we ask for your consent. Until you accept, no advertising cookies are set. Google may still receive limited, cookieless signals (such as the fact that a page was viewed) so that conversions can be modelled in aggregate. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again on every page.

We also use Umami, a privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics tool, to count page visits. It does not use cookies or collect personal data, and visits cannot be linked to you.

Third-party services

Our contact form uses Postmark to deliver email submissions. Postmark processes email data in accordance with their own privacy policy. Google Ads is used as described above. We do not use Facebook Pixel or other social media tracking on this website.

Your rights

Under GDPR and applicable data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority
